Do they trade Everett in the off-season?
This sounds awfully similar to the quandary Andrews owners were in last week, with a brutal matchup against the second-best defense vs. TEs, in addition to a player nursing an injury, on a short week, with a cadre of other capable pass-catching TEs. An Everett return next week makes it difficult to start either guy with any confidence IMO.

Guys who I'm considering over Higbee would include but is not limited to: He closes the year with 69 catches for 734 yards and 3 TDs, and is firmly in the conversation as a top 10 TE going into 2020. Depends whether or not Everett returns. I actually expect him to push for top 5 TE numbers next year, as his size, speed, athleticism, and rapport with Goff are all borderline elite.

Undecided on whether to start him or Gesicki against CIN...feel like I have to stick with the hot hand and roll with Higbee, but with Everett coming back I'm just not sure. Def good points but with Everett back and playing the niners D is such a huge risk. And the Niners have allowed four TDs to TEs over the past three. I mean this guy is basically Travis Kelce.
